Boiling Springs Baptist Association

We have the sad intelligence of the death of one of our Deacons Alexander
Walden. He was born February 18th, 1788, and united with the Baptist church   
at White Water in Fayette County Georgia in 1820 was baptized by Bro. James
Head was ordained as a Deacon at Holly Springs Church in Coweta County Ga, by
Brethren Benjamin Holmes and John Fry in 1833. He was a faithful Deacon for many
years. He departed this life June 7th, 1878, aged 90, 3 months and 19 days and
we hopefully trust he has gone to a blissful abode to reap the reward of our
Heavenly Master, " For blessed are the dead that die in the Lord" "The let us
not sorrow as for those who have no hope"
