Ashland Progress
Funeral rites for Mr. T. C. Walker of the Corinth Community were held at Corinth 
Church on March 26 at 3 o'clock p.m. with Reverends S. C. Ray, Grady Birchfield, 
Hollis Horn and Charles Jordan officiating. Interment was in nearby cemetery with 
Blair Funeral Directors in charge. Pallbearers were James Walker, Bill Mitchell, 
Seaborn Phipps, Jerry Bowen, Bobby Bowen and Barry Bowen. The deceased passed 
away on March 24th at the age of 84. Survivors include his wife, three sons, 
Thomas F. Walker, Detroit, Mich.; T. C. Walker Jr., Alex City; J. L. Walker, We-
dowee R. 3; two daughters, Miss Katie Vergie Walker, Wedowee Rt.; Mrs. James 
Bowen, Alex City; one brother, John P. Walker, Chattanooga, Tenn.; 13 
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
