Mrs. Addie M. Walker, 87. of Alexander City, died Tuesday in Russell Hospital, 
Alexander City, after a long illness. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at 
Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Grady Birchfield the Rev. Hollis Horn and 
the Rev. Benny Peacock officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery 
with Blair Brown-Service mortuary in charge. Survivors include two daughters, 
Mrs. Kattie Veigie of Dadeville, and Mrs. Mary W. Bowen of Alexander City; three 
sons, Fred Walker of Detroit, Mich., T. C. Walker Jr. of Alexander City, and 
James Lester Walker of Wedowee; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Kirk of Talladega, and 
Mrs. Dora Padgett of Lineville; a brother, T. O. McMath of Wedowee; 15 
grandchildren and 23 greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bobby Bowen, 
Kenneth Walker, James Walker, Terry Bowen, Barry Bowen and Jerry Bowen. The body 
will remain at the funeral home until one hour prior to services.
