Ashland Progress
Mrs. Dora Walker died at the home of Mrs. R. P. Hamlin near Ashland Thursday 
afternoon, December 6, following a protracted illness.
She was about 72 years of age and, was the widow of Steve Walker, well known 
citizen of the county who died in 1904. Mrs. Walker, Nee Hamlin, was the last of 
a family of six children several of whom were well known in this community. 
Funeral services were held at County Line Friday.

Additional Comments:
Stephen & Dora Walker are listed on the 1900 DeKalb County Alabama census. It is 
unknown if Stephen L. Walker died in DeKalb or Clay County Alabama.
