Ashland Progress
Funeral services were conducted for Greenbury A. Ward, 86, at the Shiloh Baptist 
Church Friday, May 25. with Rev. Reuben Birchfield, H. H. Goodman and B. B. 
Finley officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Blair Funeral Home was in 
charge. Mr. Ward died in Clay County Hospital Wednesday after a heart attack. He 
is survived by his wife. Mrs. Emma Ward of Ashland; two sons, Aubrey Ward of 
Montgomery, and Gurvis Ward of Langdale; four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Daniel of 
Camden, Ark; Mrs. Rudell Birchfield of Langdale, Mrs. Harvey Scott of Ashland and 
Miss Bernice Ward of Ashland.
