Ashland Progress
Mrs. Elizabeth Ward, wife of C.N. Ward, and one of the oldest residents of this 
section died at an early hour Tuesday Morning. Mrs. Ward was about 78 years of 
age and had been residing in this immediate community practically all her life. 
She was married to Mr. Ward some 63 years ago and they reared a large family of 
children, 6 of whom, with the husband and a number of grandchildren and great-
grandchildren are still living. The funeral services were held here Tuesday 
afternoon and were conducted by Rev's W. J. Ray and Turner Wright.
