Clay County Advance (Ashland, AL) Fri Feb 16, 1894
 Mrs. W. J. Ware died at her home at this place,
on last Saturday morning, after several weeks of
serious illness. She had lived to a ripe old age,
having raised a large family of children, all of
whom she lived to see grown, her youngest child
being thirty years old. She leaves an aged 
husband, and several children and grand children
to mourn her loss. Her remains were interred in
the cemetery at this place, in the presence of
a large congregation, that has assembled to pay
their last respects to their departed friend.

Our Mountain Home (Talladega, AL) Wed Apr 17, 1895

A Mr. Ware, of Ashland, who is only seventy-two
years old, passed through this beat last week on
matrimonial business.
