N. Watts died at his home at Erin Jan. 27, after an extended illness. He had been in declining health for several years and was con fined to his bed nearly three weeks. All that good doctors and loving hands could do was done for Mr. Watts, but God saw fit to call him home. He will be missed at home in this community, and in his church at Bowden Grove where he was a faithful member for a number of years. He was loved by all who knew him, both old and young. Mr. Watts was born July 31, 1870, and was 67 years of age at the time of his death. He was married to Miss Maggie Griffin, Dec. 20, 1894. To this union three sons were born, Thomas Huey, Ernest Dewey and Henry Jewel, all now living in this community. Mr. Watts lived his entire life in Clay County and was a good citizen, a devoted husband and father. Those acting as pallbearers were his three sons, and three nephews, Tennie, Edward and Ewart Watts. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. L. Ingram at Campbell s Crossroads church and interment was in the cemetery at that place. Additional Comments: He was buried at Mineral Springs Cemetery, Clay County, AL.
