Ashland Progress
Graveside services for Mrs. Millie Vinnie Watts of Ashland Rt. 2, were held at 
Poplar Springs Cemetery on Sun. Feb. 18th at 2 o'clock p.m. with Reverends Dee 
Hurst, John A. Joiner and G. H. Fuller officiating. Blair Funeral Home directed. 
Pallbearers were Burrell Shirey, Freddie Mitchell, Jimmy Gortney, C. K. Holcombe, 
Billy Shirey and Henry Gortney. Mrs. Watts passed away in Clay County Hospital on 
February 16th at the age of 79. She is survived by one son, James O. Watts, 
Munford; two daughters, Mrs. Ferrell Mitchell and Miss Christine Watts, Ashland; 
one brother, Charlie Shirey.
