Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mir. James Thomas Watts, Lineville 3, were held at Concord 
Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on April 10th with Rev. Dee Hurst officiating. Interment 
was in church cemetery. Blair Funeral Directors in charge. Pallbearers were Rena 
Watts, Horace Hurst, Robert Sims, Willie Watts, J. T. Walls, Henry C. Shaddix. 
The deceased passed away In Veterans Hospital, Tuscaloosa on April 8th. He is 
survived by his mother, Mrs. R. L. Watts, Lineville Route. Two sons, Robert Grady 
Watts, Vernon Watts, Talladega. One daughter. Mrs. Charlotte Johnson, Winterboro. 
Two brothers, Silas H. Watts, Talladega, Willie Watts, Anniston. Five sisters, 
Mrs. Maudine Ray, Ft. Oglethorpe, Mrs. R. A. Sims, Mrs. H. W. Shaddix, Lineville; 
Mrs. L. B. Freman, Talladega; Mrs. H. C. Hurst, Delta.
