Bob Otwell was seriously hurt, receiving a blow across his head; W. R. Clayton the Sawer, received several injuries and T. W. Baucum was also injured, but not seriously. A. B. Camp was struck by the wagon of a team which were frightened. He was seriously hurt but is resting better today. The damage done by the explosion was great. It tore the boiler in two and also tore the shelter to pieces. Mr. Watts was blown to pieces. Part of his body being found several yards from the place of the explosion: A part of the boiler was blown about seventy-five yards from its place and lots of the pieces of the boiler were found in trees nearby. It is said that the boiler was dry and the fireman turned cold water into it which resulted in a combustion of air cold and hot, which resulted ln the explosion. Charlie Chambers Watts was born October 17, 1893; was killed July 19, 1923. He was a fine young man. Always had a smile for everyone, and a cheerful word for the weak ones. He was the baby child of sixteen. His parents both being dead. He joined the Antioch Baptist church at the age of 16. and was a faithful member one who everyone respected and loved that knew him. He was married to Miss Ethel Otwell November 8, 1914, and his wife and four daughters, Ruth, Berite, Grace, Mildred, 10 months, and relatives survive him. He was a kind father; loved and worshiped his wife and children and his last words to his wife and children were: "I'll be home tonight darling, if nothing happens," He was buried at Antioch, July 20, at noon, Rev. B. W. Futural conducting the services. There were many beautiful floral offerings from his many friends. We extend our deepest sympathy to his saddened family ln their great loss and hope they will in the future be united a happy family to never be parted again.
