Services for Nelda Welch, 75, of Ashland will be today at 2 p.m. at Clay County 
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Tipton, Travis Taylor and Rev. David Keith 
officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Clay County 
Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Welch died Wednesday at Lineville Health and 
Rehabilitation Center.  Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Moore of Mesa, 
Ariz.; two sons, Ricky Welch of Baton Rouge, La. and Donnie Welch of Sylacauga; 
four sisters, Le Ann Baldwin of Corinth, Miss., Leven Griffin of Lineville, 
Margaret Griffin of Ashland and Jimmie Coleman of Pell City; three brothers, 
Billy Taylor of Ashland, Travis Taylor of Memphis, Texas, and Leon Taylor of 
Heflin; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Wayne Griffin, Charles 
Griffin, Steve Hanners, Steve Gibson, Arnold Guy and Rob Taylor. Honorary 
pallbearers will be Clay County Hospital Hospice. Mrs. Welch, a Clay County 
native, had lived most of her life.
