Wesley Mr Garrett L. Wesley was born Jan 23rd 1822, and died June 9th 1892. He moved from Georgia some ten years ago and bought the farm upon which he died. Seven children are located near where he died. He left five children in Georgia, four of whom are living. Father Wesley was confined to his bed in February and gradualy faded away till his death on June 9th. He sufferred excruciating pains at time, but was always submissive to his masters will. A few days before his death he called around him his children and grand children and gave them all a parting blessing. He told his Pastor and children and friends that he was prepared for death and especially requested that his wife and children grieve not after him, but for all to live and act as to be able to meet him in Heaven. He was a kind father, a loving devoted husband, a true friend, a good citizen, a devoted and consistent member of the M. E. Church South. May we all live as he requested, and meet him in the Mansion above. Idaho, Ala. June 15th 1892 A. Friend.
