Barto Mason officiating. Burial was in Lineville City Cemetery. Mrs. Whatley died Wednesday in Oxford after a short illness. Survivors include two sons, Billy Whatley of Anniston and Burney Whatley of Centre; and three grandchildren, Mrs. Lindsey Houck of. Piedmont, Mrs. Peggy Lipscomb of Summerville, Ga., and Mrs. Bonnie Hilton of Oxford. Pallbearers were Emyl Griffin, Jack Whatley, Charles William Carpenter, Bvron Hull, Paul Smith, Dr. George Smith, Fred McCain, Frank McCain, Borton McCain, Bobby Steed, and Charlie Nixon. Mrs. Whatley was a native and lifelong resident of Lineville. She was a homemaker and a member of Lineville First Baptist Church.
