Anniston Star
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Liza White, 98, of Anniston, Rt. 1, will be held 
at 1 p.m. today at Bethel Baptist Church, Clay County. The Rev. Fred Newborn will 
officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at Gray Brown 
Service Mortuary and will be conveyed to the church one hour prior to services. 
Mrs. White died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday following a six month's illness. Mrs. 
White was a native of Cleburne County and had resided there most of her life. She 
had lived in Calhoun County for the past six years. She was a member of Lower 
Cane Creek Methodist Church. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Active 
pallbearers will be Stonewall Pitts, Rusell McCarley, Curtis Brooks, Wayne 
Lambert, Jimmy Smallwood, and Harold King.
