Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Betterton Wilder, 93 years old, were held Thursday 
morning of last week at Cragford church. Rev. Ingram, Rev. Dean and Rev. Nichols 
officiated with Blair in charge. Mrs. Wilder was born August 16, 1856, and died 
June 14, 1949. She was married in 1874 to C. C. Wilder, who preceded her in death 
ten years. Nine children were born to them, one daughter proceeding her in death 
eight years ago. She joined the Baptist church in her early life and was charter 
member of New Hope Baptist church. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
