Services for Leon Wilkerson, 71, of Lineville, Rt. 1, were today at McCollum 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Douglas Prestridge. the Rev. Cecil Halsey and the 
Rev. Troy Williamson officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with 
Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Wilkerson died Saturday at his residence. 
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Tula Wilkerson of Lineville; two brothers. 
Horace Wilkerson of Rogersville and Alton Wilkerson of Wadley; and several 
nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were the Rev. Ben Harris, the Rev. Douglas 
Prestidge, the Rev. Valter Taylor, the Rev. Cecil Halsey, the Rev. Bill Mitchell 
and the Rev. Malcolm Robertson. Mr. Wilkerson was a life-lone resident of Clay 
County and a retired employee of the Higgins Company. He was a member of 
McCollum Baptist Church.
