The Columbus Ledger
Mrs. Walter Williams 39 died at 12:55 pm Monday at George H Lanier Memorial 
Hospital. Funeral was to be at 2 pm today at Shawmut Baptist Church with the Rev 
David Bentley and the Rev John King officiating. Burial will be in Sikesville 
Survivors include her husband Walter Williams Shawmut a daughter Connie Williams 
and two sons Walter and Jimmy Williams all of Shawmut seven brothers Roy and 
Cecil Branch Alexander City, J. C., Claude, Walter and Preston Branch all of 
Cragford and Dan Branch Langdale and four sisters Mrs. W. N. Bice Bessemer, Mrs. 
Herman Raughton Cragford, Mrs. Dee Goodson Newsite and Mrs. Robert Newby Lanett
