Ashland Progress
Funeral services for W. B. Willams, 53, of Talladega were to be held at 2 p. m. 
Monday at Clairmont Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Perry Claxton and the 
Rev. S. J. Ingram officiating. Mr. Williams died Saturday at his Elm Street 
residence. Interment will be at Clairmont. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. 
Cora Williams, Birmingham; the widow; three sons, Wilburn, Jack and Glenn, all 
of Talladega; two daughters, Mrs. E. C. Haddock, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. 
Joe Sanders of Talladega, four brothers and six sisters. J. M. Jones, Charles 
Jones, Carl Thrift, Billy Horn Howard Horn, and Charles H. Hamlin are active 
pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers: Charlie Bartlett, Roy Robinson, Emmett 
Harris, Tim Lanier, Dr. C. L. Salter, Foster Alverson, L. E. Clifford, J. C. 
Peeples, L. E. Watts, C. T. Lucas, Joe Javis, Ed Gurley and P. M. Tomlin.
