Jamie Barkley officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Willis died Monday at Lineville Nursing Facility. Survivors include a son and his wife, Joe Morris and Barbara Willis of Alexander City; four sisters, Virginia Birchfield and Kathleen Browning, both of Ashland, Sarah Burns of Birmingham and Lucille Blankenship of Cumming, Ga.; three brothers, Myron Young, Perry Young and Harold Young, all of Lineville; four grandchildren, James Willis, Scotland Welch, Misty Head and Laurie Willis; and three great-grandchildren, Sara Dietrich, Tessa Willis and Willis Welch. Pallbearers will be Bobby Wheeles, Thomas Welch, Jim Willis, Dwayne Head, Dennis Browning and Benton Young. Mrs. Willis was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County and was retired from Higgins Manufacturing Company where she had been employed for more than 25 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Hill Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Willis; and three brothers, Earl Young, Tilden Young and Cleveland Young. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Clay County Hospital Hospice or a favorite charity.
