Services for Velma Wood, 78, of Lineville will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem 
United Methodist Church in Lineville with Revs. Michael Strong, Charles Caldwell 
and Clinton Staples officiating.  Burial will be in Lineville Community Cemetery 
with Garrett Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior 
to services. Mrs. Wood died Wednesday at her home. Survivors include her husband. 
Freedom Wood of Lineville; two sons and their wives, George and Mary Wood of New 
Jersey and Roosevelt and Rose Wood of Lineville; 10 grandchildren, and four 
great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be friends of the family. Mrs. Wood was 
native of Clay County, a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist 
Church.
