Alexander City Outlook
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the County Line church in Clay 
County for Mrs. Mattie Miller Wood of Alexander City. Mrs. Wood passed away 
Tuesday morning at the Russell Hospital. She was 74. Conducting the services were 
the Rev. W. Crowder, the Jimmy Coleman and the Rev. Jimmy Hodges. Burial was in 
the adjoining cemetery with Radney's Brown-service Funeral Home in charge of the 
arrangements. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Pete Osborn of Alexander City 
and Mrs. Duel Thompson of Decatur; two sons, J. B. Wood of Orlando, Fla. and 
Buster Wood of Greenville; S.C., and two sisters, Mrs. W. O. Dawkins of Cragford 
and Mrs. O. B. Miller of Talladega
