Cleburne News 
Funeral Services were held Saturday afternoon at the Heflin Baptist church for 
Mrs. Mary Beatrice Wood, 47, who died last Thursday in Talladega. Burial was in 
Ashland cemetery with the Rev. L. C. Allen and Rev. Ray Niager officiating, 
Contrell directed. Mrs. Wood had been in a Talladega hospital a short time 
undergoing treatment. She was reported as getting along fine just before her 
death. Surviving are her husband, Mr. Y. B. Wood; two sons, J. B. and Billy of 
Heflin; six brothers, A. W. of Rising Star, Texas; H. J. of Ashland; O. M. of 
Sylacauga; W. L. of Eastland, Texas; W.O. of Ft. Worth Texas, and G. H. of 
Ashland; and two sisters, Mrs. A.B. Schoggins of Ashland, and Mrs. G. W. Rutland 
of Five Point.
