Services for George Woodgett, 60, of Ashland, Rt. 2, will be Friday at 3 p.m. at 
Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Curtis Johnson officiating. 
Burial will be in Old Hill Cemetery in Ashland with Unity Funeral Home of 
Lineville in charge. Mr. Woodgett died Monday at the VA Hospital in Tuskegee. 
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Jessiephine Woodgett of Ashland; his father, 
James Woodgett of Ashland; his stepmother, Mrs. Inez Woodgett of Ashland; four 
sisters, Mrs. Guster Street of Ashland, Mrs. Daisy Robinson of Detroit, Mich., 
Mrs. Blondell Watkins of Pontiac, Mich., and Mrs. Oretha Moore of Norfolk, Va.; 
and two brothers, Clenton Woodgett of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Vernon Woodgett of 
Chicago, Ill. Mr. Woodgett was a veteran of World War II and a lifelong resident 
of Clay County. A wake will be tonight at 7:30 at the funeral home chapel. The 
body will be in the church one hour prior to services.

Possibly Old FIELD Cemetery in Ashland.
