Woods passed away at her home near Millerville on Tuesday morning. About three and a half years ago she suffered a stroke of paralysis and had been almost an in valid since that time. She was the daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. W. J. Pearce and resided for years in the home now owned by Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Levie. She was a fine Christian character and was an accomplished musician. Her passing will sadden the hearts of many throughout this section. She was 62 years of age and is survived by her husband, a stepson, Meredith Woods, of Atlanta, and six brothers Winburn Pearce of Temple, Texas; Woods Pearce, Columbus, Ga., Davis Pearce of Bessemer; Jeff Pearce of Lineville; Clowers Pearce of Montgomery and Scott Pearce of Mississippi. Funeral services were held this morning at in the Millerville Baptist church conducted by Rev. J. A. Kaylor, Dr. Chas. H. Turner and Judge E. J. Garrison. The remains were interred in the Millerville cemetery.
