Roanoke Leader
A very deplorable accident occurred at 10 o'clock last Sunday morning just over 
in Clay County, near Mellow Valley. The wife and sister of Mr. Wyatt Worthy, a 
prominent citizen, were thrown from a buggy by a running horse and the former was 
so badly injured that she died in less than half an hour. Miss Worthy was 
seriously wounded, besides having one limb broken.
