Ashland Progress
Mrs. Georgie Ann Worthy, wife of W. M. Worthy, died at her home January 22nd, 
after being confined to her bed over three years. She was a devoted mother and 
companion. She joined the Baptist church when she was young and was a faithful 
member. Funeral services were held of Shiloh church 23rd, conducted by Revs. 
Laney, of Daviston and Ingram, of Barfield. Her remains were laid to rest in the 
Shiloh cemetery. She is survived by her husband and four children. J.O. Worthy, 
M.L. Worthy and Mrs. Gaither of Ashland and Mrs. R. L. Smith of Goodwater, also 
by eleven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren and many friends.
