Ashland Progress
Mr. Joseph B. Worthy, age 74, passed away at his home in Anniston Thursday, April 
10th, following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were conducted by 
the Rev. Kitchens at Glenn Addie Baptist Church Friday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock 
after which the body was carried to his old home church at Cragford for burial in 
the church cemetery with Ussery Funeral Home in charge. Survivors are his wife, 
Mrs. J. B. Worthy; ten children, Mrs. Myrtle Vickers, Mrs. Mildred Cash, Mrs. Joy 
Brown and Mr. Jim Worthy of New Orleans, Mrs. Jewel Denson, Gadsden, Mrs. Tula 
Elliott, Tallassee, Mrs. Peggy Key, Florida, Mrs. Luverne Chapman, Anniston, Mr. 
Jack Worthy, Childersburg, Mr. Dallas Worthy, Lineville.
