Roanoke Leader
Mrs. Mary Etta Worthy, age 81, North Main Street, Roanoke, passed away in a local 
hospital at 10:50 p. m. Monday, Sept. 17, Mrs. Worthy is Survived by one sister, 
Miss Nan Reeves of Roanoke. Funeral services for Mrs. Worthy were conducted 
Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock from the Cragford Methodist Church, with the 
Rev. Hobart Murphree officiating. Interment was in the McDaniel Chapel Cemetery, 
Quattlebaum's Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
