E. Wright died at her home in the Mt. Olive community Wednesday, December 16th. She was born in Heard County, Georgia, September 15th, 1835, and married John Wright at an early age. Later they moved to Alabama to what is known as the Street place in Talladega County. After a few years they moved to her home in Clay County where she died. Her husband preceding her in death 45 years ago. Early in life Mrs. Wright became a member of the Methodist church and at death was a member of the Sikesville Methodist church. We miss her so much, but even if we could, we would not call her back, for she is now resting in that beautiful home that God has prepared for her. She will ever live in the memory of her friends and loved ones as a beautiful flower transplanted from this world of pain and sorrow to Heaven's streets of gold. Funeral services were held at Sikesville Thursday morning at 11 :00 o'clock. The services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Grant Paris, Blair in charge. Pallbearers Were her grandsons: Claud Kenady, Crayton Kenady, Lester Kenady, Durell Wright, Owen Wright, W. B. Evans. She is survived by 9 children, 38 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren. The relatives of Mrs. Wright request the Progress to express their thanks to the many friends for kindness and helpful service shown during her illness.
