Anniston Star
Services for Lawayne "Rusty" Wright, 40, of Cragford, Rt. 1, were today at Mount 
Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Maynard Mooney officiating. Burial was in the 
church cemetery with Brock Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Wright died Tuesday. 
Survivors include three sons, Michael Wayne Wright, Gregory Lynn Wright and 
Mitchell Lawayne Wright, all of Cragford; his mother, Mrs. Bernice Wright of 
Alexander City; five sisters, Mrs. Clara Jean Wright of East Point, Mrs. 
Christine Cantrell of Powder Springs. Mrs. Anita Clayton of Hackneyville, Mrs. 
Billie Joyce Gamble of Alexander City and Mrs. Dorothy Walker of Daviston; three 
brothers, Winston Wright of Cragford, Eugene Hall of LaGrange, and Jerry Wright 
of St. Petersburg, Fla; and a granddaughter. Mr. Wright was a native of Randolph 
County and had lived in Clay County for four years. He was a wood producer and a 
Baptist.
