Luther Birchfield and Rev. Elmer Wheeles with interment in the church cemetery. Blair Funeral Home in charge. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Worthy, three brothers, Otto, Billy and Roy; four sisters, Mrs. Ressie McVey, Mrs. Faye Duke, Mrs. Edine Hanner, Mrs. Bobby Jean Willingham. Mr. Worthy was a victim of drowning in Tallapoosa River near Erwin Shoals Sunday, May 13. The body was found Tuesday near where he disappeared. Alexander City rescue squad recovered the body. Mr. Worthy was a native of Clay County and a resident of route 2, Lineville.
