She had only been sick for a week, but during this short illness her sufferings were great, but she bore them without a murmur. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, and a consecrated Christian. For only three short years had she been spared to her husband to make home happy by her quiet Christian like manners. She leaves a husband, two sweet little children and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death, for to know her was to love her. We would wish thee back did we not know thou hast crossed the shadowy vale that we all must cross and hast reached a better land. Yes, we miss the dear mother, but. we know that thy labors on earth are done and thou art happy in Imanuel's love. "Out of our stormy griefs Bethels we'll raise". E. G.
