The State of Alabama Probate Court Special Term Talladega County Nov. 20, 1863

Est W & A L Kirkpatrick Minors

This day came Joshua Horn of this County and made appl… for letters of 
guardianship of the person and Estate of Washington and Andrew Lee Kirkpatrick 
minor heirs of the Estate of Jackson Kirkpatrick dec’d under 14 years of age, 
and filed in Count his bond (unreadable) according to Law in the real sum of 
Three hundred dollars with two approved securities, and also took upon himself 
the oath in such case made (unreadable).

It appearing to the Court that said Joshua Horn is the grandfather of said 
minors, their parents both being dead, and said Joshua Horn being a suitable 
and prop person it is ordered that his application be granted and that letters 
of guardianship (unreadable) to him this day.
