This home was located on what is how Bradford Road about 1/4-mile north of the intersection of Bradford and Pleasant Grove Roads. George Griffin was a successful farmer and mill owner. At one time, He owned almost 1800 acres that included the Young's Mill, a water powered grist mill, and a steam driven cotton gin located on Pleasant Grove Rd.
