I believe this is a group picture of Civil War Veterans taken in front of the 
Clay County Courthouse. The writing on the back says Masonic meeting, Clay 
County, AL, no date. Seems to me if it were Masonic there would be some younger 
men in the picture.

Additional Comments:
My Great, Great Grandfather, William Smith and family settled in Clay County 
from Georgia around 1875. He was a Georgia Confederate Vet, wounded around 
Kennesaw. It's possible he may be in this picture. Hope this pic goes thru.
