James Warren Carpenter was the son of Thomas Carpenter and Mary Unknown [probably Jordan]. He married Sarah Abigail Harlan on November 11, 1838. To them were born the following children: Lydia Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Sarah Abigail, Marthena Candis, Mary Jane, Zachariah Thomas, David Harlan, Emily Caroline, and James Warren Jr. "Bud" Additional Comments: The Old Macedonia Cemetery lies between Lineville and Oak Grove on the Oak Grove Road. The cemetery is to the left as travelers journey to Oak Grove and is visible from the road during the fall and winter. The cemetery itself contains several graves, of which only a few are marked.
