Born August 23, 1858 in Barfield, Alabama, died Feb. 10, 1935, in Clay County, 
buried in Rock Springs church cemetery on Rock Springs road off hiway 9 in Clay 
County, inscription on stone reads "It was hard to give thee up, But thy will O 
God be done"
