Judge Alford Adair, born March 5, 1853 in Georgia, died June 28, 1906, buried 
at Rock Springs church cemetery on Rock Springs road off hiway 9 in Clay 
County, Alabama.  On the same stone with Patience Rebecca McWhorter Adair, born 
March 5, 1853, died March 18, 1936.   Inscription reads "They have gone to a 
mansion of rest" 

Additional Comments:
Son of Edward Martin Adair and Mary Bruce Vardaman.  Rebecca is he daughter of 
Samuel Andrew Jackson McWhorter and Polly Futral
