James Monroe Shores, born August 9, 1837 in Coweta County, Georgia, died April 
13, 1923 in Alabama, buried at Rock Springs church cemetery on Rock Springs 
road off hiway 9 in Clay County, Alabama.  The stone is lieing flat and 
obviously fell over and was embedded in the grass years ago. The top line of 
the stone reads "At rest with Jesus".

Husband of Frances, Son of Elijah Vance Shores.
