R. Nichols of Lineville, which was celebrated at The Baptist church in, Lineville on Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock. The ceremony was pronounced by Dr. W. A. Whittle, of Birmingham, in his usual eloquent and impressive style, in the presence of one of the largest audiences ever assembled in our county on a similar occasion, Mrs. M. N. Manning, of Ashland, presided at the organ, and the attendants marched up the aisles of the church to the step of the sweet, silvery tones of a wedding march, perfectly rendered by the magic touch of the talented organist, in the following order: M. H. Whatley and Miss Ola Northen, F. J. Ingram and Miss Nora Arnett, Stell Blake and Miss Elouise Montgomery, Allen Moon and Miss Loula Bartlett, closely followed by Prof. Willingham Fred Willingham and Miss Claudia Evans. Then came two pretty little flower girls with lovely baskets of beautiful flowers, closely followed by Prof. Willingham and his bride-elect, all meeting at the altar, where stood Dr. Whittle, made an attractive and impressive scene. The words were soon spoken that linked two lives inseparably together and make hereafter two hearts beat as one. The prominence of the parties added Interest to the occasion. Prof. Willingham is an A. M. graduate of the Howard college, and has for three years been, president of the Lineville college, widely has Increased In, patronage year by year under his management. He is a fine educator and has a bright future before him. His bride is a cultured and accomplished lady, possessing many rare and admirable graces and a worthy companion of the man of her choice. Their many friends extend congratulations and wish for them long, happy and prosperous lives.
