The premises considered it is therefore ordered by the court that she the said Elizabeth Shehane is hereby appointed administrator of the said estate of Michael Shehane, dec'd, and that letters issue to the said petitioner in terms of the law. Witness my hand at office this 14th day of December 1868. A.D. Chandler, Judge of Probate ADMINISTRATOR's BOND for Estate of Michael Shehane, deceased State of Alabama, Cleburne County Know all men by these prsents that we Elizabeth Shehane, J.M. Wiggins and R.T.W. O'Harrow are held and firmly bound unto A.D. Chandler Judge of the Probate Court and his successors in office in the sum of fourteen hundred dollars for which payment will and truly be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these presents; signed and sealed the 14th day of December 1868. The condition of the above obligation is such that the above bound Elizabeth Shehane has this day been appointed the administrator of the estate of Michael Shehane, late of Randolph County, now Cleburne County, Alabama, deceased. Chandler, Judge of Probate ELIZABETH SHEHANE's PETITION to be appointed Guardian of Minors of MICHAEL SHEHANE State of Alabama, Cleburne County January 15th 1869 At this term of the court came Elizabeth Shehane and files her petition in writing praying an order of this court appointing her the said Elizabeth Shehane, Guardian of the minor heirs of Michael Shehane, late of Cleburne County, Ala, deceased, to wit: Michael A. Shehane, John A. Shehane, Wm. O. Shehane, James H. Shehane and Thomas Shehane, all under the age of 21 years. It is therefore ordered by the court that Elizabeth Shehane be and is hereby appointed guardian of the said minors as aforesaid. A.D. Chandler, Judge of Probate ELIZABETH SHEHANE's PETITION to Sell Lands of the estate of Michael Shehane, deceased State of Alabama, Cleburne County January 28th 1869 On this day came Elizabeth Shehane, guardian of the minor heirs of Michael Shehane, late of Cleburne County, Ala., deceased and presents her petition in writing setting forth that it is to the best interest of said minors to sell all the property belonging to the estate of Michael Shehane, deceased, as the rents of the same are insufficient for the maintenance and education of said minors. The premises considered it is ordered by the court that the 6th day of March 1869 be set for hearing said petition and that notice to be given in the St. Clair County Eagle, a newspaper printed and prublished in St. Clair county, state of Alabama for three consecutive weeks notifying persons to appear and contest the same if they think proper. It is further ordered that M.M. Teague is hereby appointed guardian adlitem for the minor heirs of Michael Shehane, dec'd, this 28th day of January 1869. A.D. Chandler, Judge of Probate ________________ LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF THOMAS M. GLASCOW ADMITTED TO PROBATE State of Alabama, Cleburne County Probate Court December 28, 1868 On this day, personally came James T. Glascow who produces a paper purporting to be the last will and testament of Thomas M. Glascow late of said county and it appearing that a citation has issued to and been served upon the widow of said Thomas M. Glascow, and James T. Glascow and William H. Glascow the sons of the said Thomas M. Glascow the only persons interested in said Will to appear and show cause why the same should not be admitted to probate and letters issue thereon; and the said widow of Thomas M. Glascow not appearing, I have caused to come before me on this day, A.P. Carruth and D.W. Shepard subscribing witnesses to said Will who being duly sworn say they were each present, when said will was signed by the said Thomas M. Glascow, that he signature of said Will was signed by said Thomas M. Glascow in their presence and that he signed, published and declared to same to be his last will and testament and the said testator at the time of signing the same was of sound and disposing mind and of the age of over twenty one years and that they and each of these signed as witnesses in his presence and the presence of each other at his request. It is therefore ordered and decreed that the said will of the said Thomas M. Glascow be admitted to probate as the last will and testament of the said Thomas M. Glascow and that the same be recorded and registered in this court. A.D. Chandler, Judge of Probate __________________ SARAH C. HANSON appointed administrator of the estate of FELAN HANSON, deceased State of Alabama, Cleburne County January 7th, 1869 To the Hon. A.D. Chandler, Judge of Probate Court of Cleburne County, Ala.: It is respectully shown to your honor that Felan Hanson late of Cleburne County, Ala., died seized and possessed of certain real estate and that Sarah Hanson is the widow and heir of said decedent and your petitioner asks your honor to appoint the said Sarah C. Hanson administratrix of said estate in terms of the law. This 21st day of January 1869 at this term of the court, letters of administration on the estate of Felan Hanson, deceased is hereby granted to Sarah C. Hanson who has duly qualified and given bond as such and is authorized to administer such estate, dated this 21st day of January 1869. A.D. The condition of the above obligation is such that the above bound Sarah C. Henson has this day been appointed administratrix of the estate of Felan Hanson, deceased. Approved this 21st day of January 1869. A.D. Chandler, Judge of Probate _______________ GUARDIANSHIP of WILLIE HENDRICK, MINOR DAUGHTER OF Wm. B. HENDRICK, deceased State of Alabama, Cleburne County January 23rd 1869 The undersigned petitioner respectfully shows to your honor that Willie Hendrick is the daughter and heir of Wm. B. Hendrick, deceased and is a minor of the age of five years and said decedent died siezed and possessed of the following described lands to wit, one hundred and fifty-five acres ying in Cleburne County, Ala, the value of three hundred dollars. Your petitoner prays to be appointed guardian of said minor as above stated. J.L. Rusk At this term of the court came J.L. Rusk and filed his petition in writing praying to be appointed guardian of Willie Hendrick, the age of five years, the minor heir of Wm. B. Hendrick, deceased, alleging among other things that the said Wm. B. Hendrick died in Cleburne County, Ala., siezed and possessed of certain tracts or parcels of land lying in Cleburne County, known and designated as follows to wit, E 1/2 SE 1/4 S 12 T 17, R 9 and W 1/2 SW 1/4 S T17 R 10 containing in all 155 acres more or less of the value of three hundred dollars and that the said female minor as aforesaid is the only heir of decedent as aforesaid and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court that the allegations set forth are true. The premises considered it is therefore ordered that the said J.L. Rusk be and he is hereby appointed guardian of Willie Hendrick the said female minor as aforesaid and that letters of guardianship issue to the said J.L. Rusk. A.D. Chandler, Judge of Probate GUARDIAN's BOND Know all men by these presents that we J.L. Rusk, James T. Rusk and James Webb are held and firmly bound unto A.D. Chandler Judge of the Probate Court and his successors in office in the sum of six hundred dollars for which payment will and truly be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these presents, signed and seled this 23rd day of January 1869. The condition of the above obligation is such that the above bound J.L. Rusk has this day been appointed guardian of Willie Hendrick, minor heir of Wm. B. Hendrick, deceased. J.L. Rusk, Jas. T. Rusk, James Webb Approved this 23rd day of January 1869. A.D. Chandler, Judge of Probate ____________ J. L. RUSK's PETITION TO SELL LAND of the ESTATE OF Wm. B. HENDRICK, deceased State of Alabama, Cleburne County Probate Court January 25, 1869 On this day came J.L. Rusk, Guardian of Willie Hendrick, minor heir of William B. Hendrick late of Cleburne County, deceased, and filed his petition in writing praying an order in said court to sell the lands of said decedent. The premises considered, it is ordered by the court that Saturday the sixth dayof March next be set for hearing said application and that Notice for three successive weeks be given by publication in St. Clair County Eagle a paper printed and published in St.Clair County, ALa. notifying all parties interested when they can appear and contest the same if they think proper. It is further ordered that M.M. Teague be and is hereby appointed guardian adlitem of Willie Hendrick to secure her interest in her father's estate, this January 25th 1869. A.D.
