CLEBURNE COUNTY, ALABAMA PROBATE COURT MINUTES 1867 - 1870  (PART 8) 

LICENSES TO DISTILL AND SELL SPIRITS
State of Alabama, Cleburne County Probate Court
March 15th, 1869

This is to certify that L.C. Humphries and  W.H. Ligon have deposted with the 
Treasurer of said county the sum of thirteen dollars and seventy five cents, 
and are therefor granted as authorized by law this license for selling 
spiritous liquors by wholesale from February 15th 1869 until December 21st 
1869, at the Still House of L.C. Humphries and W.H. Ligon and no other place. 
This certificate is not transferable.  R. M. Reynolds, Auditor.
A.D. Chandler, Judge of Probate

State of Alabama, Cleburne County
March 15th, 1869

This is to certify that L.C. Humphries and W.H. Ligon have deposted with the 
Treasurer of said conty the sum of twenty dollars and 83 cents and are 
therefore granted as authorized by law this license for distilling spirituous 
liquors from March 1st 1869 until December 31st 1869 at Kerrs creek between 
the McIntosh and Wetumpka roads in said county and no other place. This

State of Alabama, Cleburne County Probate Court

This is to certify that W.H. Evans has deposted with the Treasurer of said 
county the sum of ten dollars and is therefore granted  as authorized by law 
his license for dealing in tobacco from Jan 1st 1869 until December 31st 1869  
at Edwardsville, Ala and at no other place.  March 15th 1869.  R.M. Reynolds,

State of Alabama, Cleburne County Probate Court
March 15th 1869

This is to certify that David Creamer has deposited with the Treasurer of said 
county the sum of forty-five dollars and 82 cents and is therefore granted as 
authorized by law this license for reatiling spirituous liquors from February 
1st 1869 until December 31st 1869 at Arbacoochee, Cleburne Co. Ala; and at no 
other place.  This certificate not transferable.  This March 15th 1869.  R.M.

This is to certify that Isaac Bentley has deposited with the Treasurer of said 
county the sum of twenty five dollars and is therefore  granted and authorized 
by law this license for distilling spirituous liquors from January 1st 1869 to 
December 31st 1869 at the Still House of said Bentley and at no other place.

of February 1869 to December 31st 1869 at the Still House of John T. Morrison 
in said county and at no other place.  This certificate is not transferable.

December 1869, at Arbacoochee, Cleburne Co. Ala and at no other place.  March
