The house is left in a sad condition since the death of Mr. Spivey last week. She has five children to take care and all of them too small to render much assistance in making a living. ___ Mr. S.C. Zaner of this place has a silver coin that is 109 years old. It is an old twelve and a half cent piece such as are known as a seven ponce. __ Mrs. Julius O'Harrow who was striken with paralysis last week is improving. __ Mr. J.R. Minnick has the editor's thanks for the nice lot of Irish potatoes brought him. __ Mayor Hartzfield and Mr. O.H. Brown of Muscadine were in Heflin, Thursday as visiting brethren to the Caldwell Lodge. __ Capt. N.J. Ross sent to Mr. J.R. Moore a bear cub from Tallahassee Fla., last week. It furnished the boys with entertainment for a few days in Mr. J.H.
