Taylor, wife of E.H. Taylor, and daughter of Gabriel Hughes. She was born October 30, 1866 and departed this life May 21, 1895. She was united in wedlock to E.H. Taylor at the age of 17 and was to him an affectionate and devoted companion. She leaves a husband and six little children and a host of friends to mourn a great loss, but their loss is only her eternal gain. Truly it can be said of her that she is gone to rest. For 15 years she lived a consistant member of the Baptist church. She bore her affliction with the greatest christian fortitude, being perfect conscious to the very last moment. Not more than one hour before she died she called her little children to her bed and bade them goodbye and told them that she was going to die and requested them to be good children and meet her in heaven. She told her husband the same saying that she loved everybody; she then turned to her friends who were present and bade them adieu and then prayed that she might die easy and in a few minutes passed off into a blissful eternity without even a struggle. Her funeral will be preached at Bethesda church on the third Sunday in June at 11 o'clock by Rev. D. Johnson. We sincerely condole with the family of the deceased on the dispensation which is has pleased Divine Providence to afflict them and commend them for consolation to him who orders all things for the best and whose chastisements are meant in mercy. _____ NEWSPAPER Issue of June 13, 1895 LOCAL and PERSONAL News Mrs. J.F.
