Laminack fast fading away from the sins and troubles of this world and at 4:45 he breathed his last and tenderly fell asleep. It is to be remembered that Bro. Laminack was the husband of Sister S.J. Laminack who passed to that great beyond Feb. 22, 1922 and the father of C.E., T.E., and J.W. Laminack and Mrs. Ida McLendon. Bro. Laminack was born November 17, 1840, being 84 years and eight months old at the time of his death. To know him was to love him. He was kind to all whom he met, was brave and courageous in the discharge of every duty; just to his government; true to his country and ever ready to submit to legal authority; to lend a helping hand and assist the needy in every way he could. Yes, dear father, we miss you. His remains were tenderly carried to the family burying ground the following day where the last sad rites were conducted over the earthly remains by Rev. C.M. Compton and J.L. George, after which the body was carried to the grave, where the last tribute of respect was extended by the many heart broken relatives and friends.
