Congratulations! __ Mrs. R.J. Boone, who has been spending the winter with her son O.B. Boone, left last week for Wanilla, Miss. __ C.H. Coggin has moved to East Lake. __ FRUITHURST News J.W. Wylie returned to Atlanta last Saturday after several weeks visit here. Mrs. Wylie is incubating young poultry. She understands the biz. __ W. McCovey of Milledgeville, GA has been spending the past week here, one of Mrs. Kilgore's boarders. __ Luther Garrick returned to Georgia last Monday where he is engaged in farming for his uncle. He will remain tul the cropping season is over. __ Charlie Hooper spent last Sunday in town with his brother Marlin. Come often Charlie, we are all glad to see you. __ Lola Garrick was a Tallapoosa visitor last week. __ The following marriage licenses have been issued since our last report: General Maxwell and Annette Middlebrook Warner Whitman and Rose Lee Crook S.S. Edwards and Bertha Kerr ___ NEWSPAPER Issue of Thursday May 4, 1911 LOCAL News Mrs. Beverly, wife of W.J. Beverly died on Monday after an illness of two or three days and was laid to rest on Tuesday. __ CARD OF THANKS Mr. W.J. Beverly requests us to thank all who were so kind and attentive during the illness and death of his wife. He will always cherish in fondest memory those favors. ___ The following marriage licenses were issued since our last report: James E. Bales and Miss Nancy E. ?? Luther Hammond and Miss Rosie Riddle Edgar Whiten and Miss Essie Morgan Ray Pounds and Miss Marguerette Brown __ Pen Way and wife left on last Saturday night for their new home in the mountain region of North Carolina. Their many friends regret their going. __ NEWSPAPER issue of Thursday, May 11, 1911 LOCAL News R.H. Turner has purchased the house opposite G.W. Wager's and is having same remodeled. __ Mrs. W.U. Almon spent Saturday and Sunday with her grandchildren in Anniston. __ The eight year old boy of Bunk Vaughn was buried on Monday after an illness of one week. __ Mrs. E.T. This day came Emmett M. Wheeler, administrator of the estate of said deceased and filed his account, vouchers, evidence, and statement for final settlement of his said administration. It is ordered that the 10th day of July 1911 be appointed a day on which to make such settlement at which time all persons interested can appear and contest the said settlement if they think proper. Roberts spent Monday and Tuesday with his daughter Mrs. O.B. Boone.
