The Greenville Advocate January 11, 1888
Mr. John C. Hemptinstall, of Chulafinnee, Cleburne Co., Ala writes: "My wife has 
been so much benefited by Shaker Extract of Roots or Seigel's Syrup that she says 
she would rather be without part of her food than without the medicine. It has 
done her more good than the doctors and all other medicines put together. I would 
ride twenty miles to get it into the hands of any sufferer, if he can get it in 
no other way. I believe it will soon sell in this state better than cotton"
