On Friday afternoon, February 7, 1941, about 5 o'clock, the death angel removed from our midst, dear Ernest, while visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Robinson of Waco, Ga. Ernest was born July 10, 1908 making him 32 years of age. We can't understand why God took him away so young. Ernest was a kind and affectionate husband; he had never confessed Christ, but he had a hope. Now he has paid a debt we all have got to pay sooner or later whether we are prepared or unprepared. Ernest's death was a great shock to all. He wasn't sick any more than usual. Now wife and sisters, cheer up for dear Ernest. We wouldn't call him back in this troublesome world but strive to live a christian life and meet him in heaven where there is no more sorrow or death, where God will wipe all tears away and heal all broken hearts. We don't look on Ernest as dead, only sleeping till the resurrection morm, when we all shall be called up to meet Jesus in the clouds where there will be no more parting or said goodbyes, all will be gladness, peace and rest. They have placed him in his casket and borne him far away still in death, but only sleeping. Ernest was loved by all who knew him. Dear Ernest, we miss you and no one can fill the vacancy in our hearts. A precious one from us is gone, a voice we loved is still, a place is vacant in our home which never can be filled. Oh, how sad it makes us feel to hear little Earnesteen calling her Daddy, always looking for him to come home. No one knows how sad and lonely we are without him. Leaving to mourn his death are a wife, three children, a daughter Earnesteen age 22 months; twin sons, Royce and Troyce age 2 months old; a brother Luther Chandler of Waco, Ga., four sisters, Mrs. Etta Hill of Birmingham; Mrs. Lola Ward of Fruithurst; Mrs. Delia Morrow and Mrs. Willie Mae Terrell, both of Muscadine. Funeral services were held Feb. 9th in Stateline cemetery with Brown - Service in charge, Rev. A.T. Warmack, Rev. H.R. Carter and Rev. Morris officiating. Pallbearers were Jesse Scott, Henry Robinson, Cleo Speights, Luther Dryden, Howard Ward and Arthur Owens. We wish to thank each and everyone for their kindness shown us during our sad hours, also for the floral offering. May God bless each and everyone is our prayer.
