Inglis of Chicago is visiting in our city. __ Mr. Gus Johnson came from Atlanta last Saturday to spend several days here. __ Swedish services were held in the church on Thanksgiving day, both morning and evening. __ Sunday, November 26th, T.J. Williamson was united in marriage to Miss Jenie Wallace of Edwardsville. __ BELL MILLS News Bro. T.H. Evans has returned from Anniston where he has been under the care of Curtley. He is greatly improved. __ Mr. Albern Bonds and Miss Bloss McKleroy were united in the holy bonds of wedlock at the home of the bride's parents, the 12th of November. Congratulations to the happy pair. __ Miss Etta Wood and Jimmie Teal were married at Pleasant Grove the 5th of November. We wish them success and a long happy life. __ SOUTH CLEBURNE News Mrs. Texana Willingham was the guest of her mother, Mrs. Barnwell on Sunday. __ Miss Certha and Eddie Blake were the charming guests of Miss Dovie Barnwell on Sunday. __ Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cruse were the pleasant guests of their sons Albert and Thomas Cruse on Monday. __ NEWSPAPER Issue of Thursday, December 14, 1911 LOCAL News Mrs. Adams of Indiana is visiting her son J.A. Adams and will spend several weeks here. __ Mr. Lee Black attended the Masonic meeting at Montgomery and reports a good time. __ Bill Rooker, an old Cleburne boy, is on a visit to the old folks at home. __ Mrs. R.J. Williams is visting her mother in Georgia. __ Duke Haley has moved up in east Heflin to the Buck Coggin home. __ Laz. Tolleson of Miss., is on a visit to his father and friends here. Laz is as fine looking as can be. Uncle Bill Tolleson can be proud of the boys he has raised. __ FRUITHURST News Mrs. Jim Rob (Linnie) Walker of Riverside, came last Saturday on a visit to home folks here. __ Mr. Heark's family are occupying the Wilder property. __ Joel Vann, son of Rev. F.A. Vann, after a long and severe illness was taken from earth to that glorious home where sickness and parting cannot enter. It was 3:15 Saturday, December, that he left us. We all so wanted to keep Joel with us but the dear father thought best to take him to himself. The family has our deep sympathy. "It is not death to live in hearts of those who love us." Miss Necie Vann of Birmingham was with her brother's family during the past week. Joe's brother Clyde of Heflin and Monroe of Birmingham were at home last week. Joel's body was taken to Huffman, Ala., for burial in the home burying ground. Rev. F.A. Vann and family desire to extend thanks and their appreciation for the many kindnesses of friends and neighbors during Joel's illness. ___ Miss Daisy Burnner was united in marriage to T.S.
